The Fast Forward Program is a partnership between Western Sydney University and a number of schools, including Hoxton Park High School. This program helps students to see the value of continuing their education through to Year 12 and beyond. Hoxton Park High School has been involved in the program since 2011.
Aims of the program:
· To increase school students' engagement in learning and the completion of Year 12
· To develop students' confidence, knowledge, skills and educational attainment
· To enhance students' awareness of post school education opportunities
· To promote the benefits of lifelong learning, vis-à-vis life opportunities, to students and their families
· To improve the participation of students in higher education.
The Fast Forward program seeks to engage selected students from Year 9 with WSU staff, students and resources and work with them through to Year 12. Through interactive, fun and practical activities, students are given a positive experience and understanding of University life and other pathways to achieve their goals for the future.
