Partnership with Liverpool Council
With thanks to Liverpool Council's Green Grants program, Hoxton Park High School has installed a 10000 litre water tank, pump and standing tap within the Agriculture farm.
This tank is a welcome addition to the farm, allowing students and teachers involved in farming activities and Agriculture to access water collected from rainfall. This has an immediate benefit for our farm and school.

Benefits
While the tank holds 10 000 litres when full, the amount of water saved through collection and reuse rather than using town water is significant. This is an ongoing benefit for the school and the environment and our students and community see this in practice.
In terms of the curriculum benefits for our students, the tank and water conservation can be built into teaching and learning programs within Science, Agriculture, Geography and Mathematics. Educational benefits also come through having a visible water saving project within the school.
The school thanks Liverpool Council for providing this tremendous support.
