As a school community, we have decided to adjust the structure of the school day that will better cater to the learning of our students. The lesson structure will change from a 6 period day (of 48 minutes each) to a 5 period day (of 60 minutes each).

The impact for the community will be minimal with each day starting at 8:48am (previously 8:55am). The end of each day will remain the same, 3:10pm on Monday Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays and 2:30pm on Tuesdays.
Senior students (Years 11 & 12) will have a 9 day fortnight. Every second Tuesday (or Tuesday Week B) will be a designated study day. This is an opportunity for the senior students to have a day to focus, catch up, attend TAFE or work placement, extension classes, etc. The senior students can access staff and the school facilities, researching the library, etc. on that Tuesday, by signing in and out at the front office.
The 60 minute period / 5 period per day structure will provide an opportunity for more time in class to focus and less time wasted moving from period to period.
If you have any questions please contact Mr Cole at the school.
