CHANGING/DROPPING SUBJECTS
During the first 4 weeks of Term 1, you will have the opportunity to test out your subjects to see if they are suitable for you. It is wise to be actively engaged and attentive in your subjects to ensure that if you do change your subject, there is a valid reason. If you are unsure, please book an appointment with Miss K Ly
All Changing Subject Forms will need to be collected from the Deputy Principal's office and signed off by all parties.
At the beginning of Term 4, Year 11 students have the chance to choose to drop one of their preliminary subjects. This can occur for a few reasons:
- Too hard
- Not required for their pattern of study
- Not valuable to career pathway
- Marks are not up to standard
Therefore,students are able to study a minimum of 5 subjects for their HSC. It is important to consider the reasons for and against dropping a subject and that the choice is primarily yours.

TVET/SBAT
Students who select TVET or SBATs as part of their HSC study pattern need to ensure that they are attending TAFE and/or work. Students who are not consistent in their attendance and participation put their entire HSC at risk. These options are Preliminary and HSC BOSTES courses and are subject to the same rules of N Determination.If you are participating in these options and struggling with your work or travel please come to see Miss K Ly at the first opportunity. Do not wait until your first N Warning letter!If you are going to be away from TVET for a particular reason you need to inform Miss K Ly via email or call 9607 4222.
LEAVING SCHOOL
Leaving school is a big decision that needs to be discussed with all parties. This would include the Deputy Principal, Career Adviser, your parents/carers and yourself. If you feel like you would like to plan your post-school transition, please book a consultation with Miss K Ly.
